Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty Pre-Treatment Guidance

To prepare for your non-surgical rhinoplasty in London:

• Arrive with clean skin, free from make-up or skincare products
• Eat before your appointment to ensure comfort during treatment
• Avoid blood-thinning medications such as aspirin or ibuprofen where possible, unless prescribed by your doctor
• Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before your appointment to minimise the risk of bruising and swelling
• Inform your practitioner of any previous nose treatments, including surgical or non-surgical procedures
• Avoid any previous filler treatments to the nose within the preceding two weeks

During your visit:

• Clinical photographs and consent will be completed if not already done
• A member of the team will cleanse the skin thoroughly
• Numbing cream or local anaesthetic will be applied for comfort prior to treatment
• Treatment time is typically 30 minutes following preparation

What to Expect Immediately After Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty

Non-surgical rhinoplasty is a well-tolerated procedure and results are visible immediately following treatment.

You may experience:

• Mild swelling around the nose and surrounding area
• Light bruising at the injection sites
• Temporary tenderness or sensitivity to touch
• Minor irregularities in shape as swelling settles

These effects are entirely normal and typically resolve within a few days. The final result will become clearer over the first one to two weeks once any swelling has fully subsided. It is important not to assess your final result until the area has fully settled.

Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty Post-Treatment Care

The nose is a delicate and sensitive area. To protect your results and support your recovery, we recommend the following after your treatment:

• Avoid touching, pressing or applying pressure to the nose for at least two weeks following treatment
• Do not wear glasses or sunglasses that rest on the nose for at least two weeks, as pressure on the treated area can displace the filler
• Avoid make-up over the injection sites for at least 12 hours
• Avoid alcohol for 24 hours post-treatment to reduce bruising and swelling
• Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, steam rooms and hot baths for 24 to 48 hours
• Avoid extreme heat and direct sun exposure on the treated area for at least two weeks
• Avoid facial massage or any treatments in the nose area for at least four weeks
• Sleep on your back where possible and avoid putting direct pressure on the nose overnight

When Will I See Results from Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty?

One of the key benefits of non-surgical rhinoplasty is that results are visible straight away.

• An immediate improvement in shape, symmetry and contour is visible following treatment
• Mild swelling may temporarily alter the appearance in the first few days
• The final, refined result becomes fully visible within one to two weeks as the swelling resolves
• Results typically last between nine and 18 months depending on the filler used and individual metabolism

Non-surgical rhinoplasty can be adapted and refined at future appointments, making it a flexible and evolving treatment option as your goals change over time.

Who Should Not Have Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty?

Non-surgical rhinoplasty may not be suitable if you have:

• Active skin infections, open wounds or compromised skin in the treatment area
• A history of significant nasal surgery, particularly procedures involving implants or grafts
• Breathing difficulties or structural concerns that require a surgical approach
• A known allergy to hyaluronic acid or any components of the filler product
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding

For patients with more significant concerns such as breathing difficulties, structural asymmetry or the desire for more substantial change, surgical rhinoplasty may be a more appropriate option. Dr Brennand will discuss this with you honestly during your consultation.

When to Contact Us

Non-surgical rhinoplasty is considered safe when performed by an experienced medical professional, however the nose is one of the most vascularly sensitive areas of the face. Please contact L’Atelier Aesthetics immediately if you experience:

• Blanching, white or blue discolouration of the skin around the nose
• Severe or worsening pain that is disproportionate to the treatment
• Any changes in vision
• Signs of infection such as increasing redness, heat or discharge
• Persistent swelling or unusual changes in the appearance of the area
