FaceTite is a minimally invasive radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis (RFAL) procedure designed to tighten skin, reduce unwanted fat and improve facial contours. A small probe placed beneath the skin delivers controlled radiofrequency energy to the deeper tissues, causing immediate contraction and stimulating long-term collagen remodelling. FaceTite is performed in our fully equipped operating theatre at 101 Harley Street, ensuring controlled conditions, enhanced safety and optimal precision throughout.

FaceTite Pre-Treatment Guidance

Because FaceTite is a surgical procedure, preparation is an important part of ensuring a safe and comfortable experience.

In the days before your treatment:

• Avoid blood-thinning medications such as aspirin or ibuprofen for at least one week prior, unless prescribed by your doctor
• Avoid alcohol for at least 48 hours before your procedure
• Do not smoke in the weeks leading up to treatment, as smoking can impair healing and increase the risk of complications
• Stay well hydrated and maintain a healthy diet in the days before your appointment
• Arrange for someone to accompany you home following treatment, as you will not be able to drive

On the day of your treatment:

• Arrive with clean skin, free from make-up or skincare products
• Do not eat or drink for the period advised by your clinical team prior to treatment
• Clinical photographs and consent will be completed if not already done
• FaceTite is performed under local anaesthetic with or without sedation in our operating theatre
• Procedure time is typically 60 to 90 minutes depending on the areas being treated 

What to Expect Immediately After FaceTite

FaceTite is a minimally invasive surgical procedure and some post-treatment effects are to be expected as part of the healing process.

You may experience:

• Swelling and bruising in the treated area, which may be more pronounced in the first 48 to 72 hours
• Tenderness, tightness or mild discomfort around the face and jaw
• Small entry point marks where the probe was inserted
• Temporary numbness or altered sensation in the treated area
• A feeling of firmness beneath the skin as the tissue begins to contract and remodel

Swelling and bruising typically peak within the first few days and gradually resolve over one to two weeks. Some mild residual swelling may persist beyond this as the deeper tissues continue to settle.

FaceTite Post-Treatment Care

The recovery period following FaceTite is an important part of achieving the best possible result. We recommend the following:

• Rest and keep physical activity to a minimum for the first 48 hours following treatment
• Sleep with your head elevated for the first week to help reduce swelling
• Keep the entry point areas clean and follow any wound care instructions provided by your clinical team
• Avoid touching, rubbing or massaging the treated area until advised it is safe to do so
• Avoid strenuous exercise, heavy lifting and activities that raise your heart rate for at least two weeks
• Avoid alcohol for at least 48 hours post-treatment
• Do not smoke during the recovery period, as this can significantly impair healing
• Avoid saunas, steam rooms, hot baths and direct heat on the treated area for at least two weeks
• Avoid facials, skin treatments and any procedures in the treated area for a minimum of four to six weeks
• Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or above daily once any wounds have healed and the skin can tolerate it

Take any prescribed medication as directed and attend all follow-up appointments so the team can monitor your healing and progress.

When Will I See Results from FaceTite?

FaceTite delivers both immediate tissue contraction and progressive long-term remodelling.

• An immediate tightening effect is achieved during the procedure as the radiofrequency energy causes the tissue to contract
• Visible improvements in contour and skin tightness become increasingly apparent from eight to ten weeks as swelling fully resolves and collagen remodelling takes hold
• Results continue to develop and improve over the following months
• FaceTite delivers long-lasting results, with continued collagen remodelling contributing to enduring improvement in firmness and definition

Your clinical team will schedule follow-up appointments to review your results and ensure your recovery is progressing as expected.

Who Should Not Have FaceTite?

FaceTite may not be suitable if you have:

• Active skin infections, open wounds or compromised skin in the treatment area
• A pacemaker or implanted electrical device
• Metal implants in the treatment area
• Certain cardiovascular or systemic health conditions
• A history of poor wound healing or keloid scarring
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding

A thorough consultation will be carried out before treatment is confirmed. This ensures FaceTite is appropriate for your health, anatomy and aesthetic goals, and that a personalised treatment plan is in place.
