How we use dermal fillers

Harley Street, London

Advanced, expert wrinkle-filler treatment at L’Atelier

With years of experience in aesthetic treatments including dermal fillers, we use this versatile treatment in many ways to target the signs of ageing. Wrinkle fillers are particularly effective in restoring facial volume, smoothing deeper lines and creases and treating more challenging areas such as tear troughs. We also have the expertise to perform highly advanced dermal-filler treatments such as hand rejuvenation and chin reshaping.

The list below details our dermal-filler treatments. All wrinkle-filler treatments are tailored to each individual client and we’ll talk through the results you’re looking to achieve, areas to focus on and the different types of dermal filler during your consultation.

Dermal fillers at L’Atelier, London

Overall facial volume loss – As we get older, the structure and shape of the face changes as volume depletes. Wrinkle fillers can help to restore volume for a plumper, more youthful look.* Our non-surgical fluid facelift uses dermal fillers to address loss of volume and provide natural but noticeable lift to the entire mid and lower face.

Loss of volume in the cheeks – The cheeks are particularly prone to loss of volume. Our advanced dermal filler treatment can help to restore shape and contour*

Nasolabial folds – The smile lines between the upper lip and nose can become increasingly pronounced. Wrinkle fillers help to smooth and plump these lines for a more relaxed look*

Non-surgical rhinoplasty – This breakthrough treatment is an alternative to surgical rhinoplasty (or nose job) for clients who are unhappy with nose irregularities, bumps and lack of symmetry.

Lip enhancement – Our team is highly experienced in using dermal fillers to add volume to lips while creating contour and definition. Dermal fillers can also be used to smooth away lip lines.

Tear trough – This area below the eye and above the upper cheek often shows signs of ageing as it becomes more sunken in appearance and eye bags and dark circles begin to form. We have the expertise to restore volume for a brighter and refreshed look.*

Receding chin – A well-defined and prominent chin adds contour and structure to the face. If you are are unhappy with the appearance of your chin, this non-surgical and minimally-invasive approach could be a suitable option for you.

Hand rejuvenation – Hands are especially vulnerable to the signs of ageing and volume loss. Our specialist hand rejuvenation treatment can help to rejuvenate hands using dermal fillers.

Your Questions Answered

    • What are dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers are gels made from hyaluronic acid. They are expertly injected into selected treatment areas to replace lost volume, smooth lines and wrinkles and restore a more youthful look.

    • How long do the results last?

The effects will usually last for around 18 months depending on the type of dermal filler, area treated and your metabolism.

    • How do I care for the area after treatment?

Any swelling or redness will subside soon after the treatment but until it does, avoid sun beds, saunas, steam rooms and extreme temperatures. There may be some minor bruising, but this will go down after a few days. It’s also important to not wear make-up for 12 hours after your treatment.

    • How long does the treatment take?

You’ll usually be with us for about an hour. That gives us time for consultation and to answer any questions you might have.

    • Does it hurt?

Discomfort is usually very minor. The topical anaesthetic (numbing cream) we use is very effective. In addition, the dermal fillers also contain anaesthetic to reduce pain.

    • Are dermal fillers safe?

Dermal fillers are an extremely safe treatment and many thousands of procedures have been carried out. Allergic reactions are very rare.

“I felt as though my hands were giving my age away – the skin had lost so much of its firmness and veins were quite noticeable. I’m really happy with the results of the dermal-filler treatment and I would recommend L’Atelier to anyone.”Deborah, Ealing
